Surprise Getaway

A couple months ago Steve and I were watching the Bachelor, it was one of the episodes where Jason takes the girls on a group date to a hotel rooftop overlooking all of Los Angeles. While watching the show I fell in love with the location and the hotel decor. It looked like such a cool place, very romantic and I blurted out loud that I would love to go there sometime. Well that sometime was this weekend! Steve remembered the place, Hotel Le Petit, did a little research and booked a room for the weekend. Early Saturday morning we had our bags packed and we were out the door. We have been working our butts off and really needed a little bit of r & r. Of course I brought my camera and took a ton of pictures (which Steve loves--not really) but I promise not to bore you with them ALL, just a few.

Road Trip!
We made it!

The hotel was full of eclectic antiques and original art pieces, very bohemian/French country. I loved it!

After checking in we changed into our suits and lounged by the rooftop pool.

After spending the day by the pool, listening to French music and eating lunch, we headed back to our room and got ready for dinner.

We watched the sunset from the rooftop garden. We might have spent a little too much time at the pool. Yeah, that is called a sunburn--not good.

Steve made reservations for Lola's. The food was flippin fantastic.

After dinner we decided to walk back to our hotel and strolled along Santa Monica Blvd. There are quite a few characters in LA. On our way we stopped at La Boheme for dessert. The chandeliers in this place were great.

We made it back to the hotel, with only a few blisters. Not a good idea to walk a mile in new four inch heels.

The next morning we got up early and had breakfast at the French Market Place. The eggs benedict were delicious and the place reminded us of New Orleans.

After breakfast we went to the J. Paul Getty Museum. We both had never been and weren't quite sure what to expect. Once we got there, we rode the tram to the top and took in the spectacular sights. If you have never been, you need to go. The place is very impressive, not to mention all the artwork on display.

The gardens were beautiful!

I was tempted to walk through the water because it was so HOT!

I thought these were cool.

All in all a fabulous weekend, thanks honey!
