Thankful

It has been a while since I posted anything so Jenn wanted me to talk about things that I am thankful for. She said that when we are in our forties that we can look back on this and remember what we wrote and reflect on this time in our lives. Then she started laughing and said, oh I forgot, you are already forty!!!!! Not cool. Anyway, I am thankful for so many things. Mainly that I am in good health, have a good job and most importantly a beautiful wife that loves me. What else is there to be thankful for? I am thankful for having parents that raised me the right way so that I can give myself the opportunities in life that some people might not be able to have. I am thankful for the relationship I have with Jenn's family as well. I am thankful that I am able to play golf and very thankful if I happen to play well every now and then. I am thankful for my brothers and sisters and the friendships that I have with people. I am thankful for living in America and even though our country is not perfect I am thankful to be an American. I am thankful for many of the same things that most people are thankful for. I have learned over the years that not everything in life is going to work out the way that you want it to so instead of complaining about it and feeling bad about things that don't go your way, focus on all of the other things that do go well and work out for you.

Fall

It appears I have fallen behind on posting. The last few months have flown by. I started taking an HR class at UCI and I started a new job in September (love it!). Steve's been up to the same ol' stuff, working hard, playing golf, pumping iron and keeping up on his fantasy leagues (yes, leagues--baseball, football, basketball AND golf). FYI, he did win his baseball fantasy league. Should I be proud of that one? Here's what we have been up to.

We spent Labor Day weekend in Laguna Beach at The Montage .

We met up with my parents in Old Town San Diego.

I had girl time with my old roomies.

We headed to the mountains and spent the weekend in Big Bear.

We lounged and played board games.
