Just Us

I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones, but lately I have caught myself saying to Steve, "this is the last time it's going to be just you and me (fill in the blank)," which is then usually followed by tears. It makes me a little sad that we have less than three weeks of just us left. Of course I am overjoyed to add our plus one, but it has been over six years of just us.

We have been making the extra effort to enjoy our final weeks of us. We've been on a few date nights, stayed up late watching movies, taken early morning walks, cooked dinners together and made late night trips out for ice cream sundaes (Steve's been craving chocolate).

I am very thankful to have had us, with my loving best friend.

Showered with Love

My mom and sister hosted a baby shower in northern CA in September. It was so much fun and great to see all my aunts, cousins, and close family friends. It was nice to catch up with everyone, eat great food and dessert. We were spoiled with the best girly gifts.

My cousin made these, they were sooo good.

A group of girls at work hosted my second luncheon baby shower at Tommy Bahama's in Newport Beach. I'm bummed I didn't get any pictures of the girls. The only camera phone pictures I did take were of the Sprinkles cupcakes (complete pregnancy brain).

My last baby shower was hosted by my dear friend, Eileen. She went above and beyond. The food was delicious and the company was fantastic. Baby and I, again, felt very much loved. My mom was able to fly down and my aunt joined us too.

Steve snuck in some food before leaving to play golf

Eileen made tasty strawberry shortcake in mini mason jars

Now that I am on maternity leave, I am in full nesting mode. The nursery is almost complete, just a few more things to add. I am 36 weeks! I will be delivering on November 21st (the day before Thanksgiving) via c-section. I can't believe I'm going to be a mom in less than 3 weeks!

Work Events

This pregnancy has flown by. I was so busy at work this summer with new hires, career fairs and events, it seems as if I went from 3 months to 7 months pregnant in the blink of an eye.

One OC Volunteer Event at Silverado Canyon

PAAMCO Olympic-themed training

PAAMCO Summer Party at Newport Beach Fairmont

PAAMCO Cup at Newport Beach Hyatt Golf Course

My pregnancy partners, Myra and Angie

The three of us are all expecting in the fall. It has been fun to compare pregnancies and talk about our future babes.
